## Which address to check

Check the address your mail leaves from, not your website's. It is in the Received headers of a message you sent, or in your mail server's settings. If you send through an email service, its shared addresses are its to manage: report a listing to the service.

## What a listing means

Receivers that consult a blocklist may refuse or junk mail from a listed address. Lists differ in how they list and how removal works, so each result links to that list's own lookup page with its reason and its removal process.

## Questions people ask

Which blocklists are checked?

SpamCop, PSBL, UCEPROTECT Level 1 and DroneBL, whose terms allow free lookups. Spamhaus is not included: its free tier excludes commercial use, so a result from it here could not be trusted.

My IP is listed. What now?

Find and stop the cause first, usually a compromised account, an infected device or a web form sending mail, then follow the list's removal link. SpamCop listings expire on their own about a day after the spam stops.

Does a shared sending service's IP being listed affect me?

It can. Email services that send from shared IP pools manage those listings themselves, so report it to the service rather than requesting removal yourself.
