# Sendly — Email API with AI for transactional and marketing

> Email API for transactional, marketing and workflow email, with an AI assistant and MCP server. Speaks the Resend, SendGrid, Postmark and Mailgun APIs.

Canonical page: https://sendly.now

# Email,
_well_ delivered.

Transactional sends, marketing campaigns and visual workflows in one workspace, on separate sending identities — behind one API that is safe to hand an agent: scoped keys, an MCP surface, and phishing screening on the way out.

§ 03AI Workflows

## Describe your campaign. _We'll wire it._

Tell Sendly what you want to send and when. Drip sequences, behavioral triggers, conditional branches — built by describing them. Drag a node to tweak; deploy when it's right.

§ 04AI Integrations

## Bring _your_ AI.

Sendly speaks Model Context Protocol — the open standard for AI tool use. Connect Claude, Cursor or any MCP-aware agent, over OAuth or with a secret key. You choose what it may do, one permission at a time: the ones that cannot be undone — sending mail, revoking API keys — arrive unchecked, behind a warning.

01_Read your account_

Ask which sending domains are verified, or what your open rate was this week.

02_Do the work_

Have Cursor tidy your contacts, cut a new segment, or draft the next campaign.

03_Send, once you say so_

Sending is a permission you tick yourself. Withdraw it and the agent is refused on its next call.

Connect in one line

`claude mcp add --transport http sendly https://app.sendly.now/api/mcp`

Sign in, approve the permissions you want to grant, and revoke them any time from your settings.

§ 05The Platform

## One dashboard, _everything_ you need.

§ 06The Problem

## Most email tools weren't built for _agents._

/ Agents

Scoped

Safe to hand an assistant

Give an agent an MCP connection and a key scoped to exactly what it may do. Outbound content is screened for phishing, and a project that trips the threshold is cut off automatically rather than after the complaints arrive.

/ Pricing

0 limits

Pay per email, never per contact

Store millions of contacts at no cost. Pay only for messages that actually leave the queue.

/ Reliability

4 regions

Multi-region by default

Sends route through the AWS SES region closest to your project. Automatic failover, idempotency keys, no overage surprises.

§ 07Capabilities

## Everything you need. _Nothing you don't._

/W

01

Workflow Automation

Visual workflows that branch on opens, clicks, and custom events. Drag, drop, ship.

/S

02

Dynamic Segments

Filter your audience on any property. Segments update in real time as contacts change.

/C

03

Campaign Management

Schedule, A/B test, and track marketing broadcasts alongside transactional sends.

/A

04

Analytics

Delivery, opens, clicks, bounces. Per domain, per tag, per template — drilled all the way down.

/I

05

Inbound Email

Receive at a verified address, route to a webhook, and treat replies like any other event.

/D

06

Sending Identities

Separate identities for transactional and marketing mail, suggested when you add a domain. Each gets its own DKIM, SPF and DMARC — so a campaign's complaints never reach the reputation your password resets go out on.

§ 08Alternatives

## Replace your email stack.

Share your link and earn 30% of what everyone you refer pays, for their first 12 months.

## Questions, answered.

What is Sendly?

Sendly is an email platform for developers: one REST API for transactional email, marketing campaigns and visual automation workflows, built on AWS SES, with contacts, segments, templates, webhooks and an event stream in the same account.

Can I move from Resend, SendGrid, Postmark or Mailgun without rewriting my code?

For transactional sends, yes. Sendly's API also accepts the send requests of Resend, SendGrid, Postmark, Mailgun and Plunk, so an existing SDK keeps working once you change its base URL and API key. Each migration guide names the one setting to change.

Is there a free tier?

Yes: 5,000 emails per calendar month, with no card required and the full API, SDKs and webhooks included. Email sent on the free tier carries a small "Sent with Sendly" footer. Above that you pay per email sent, with no monthly fee.

Can AI agents use Sendly?

Yes. Sendly runs an MCP server at https://app.sendly.now/api/mcp. An MCP client such as Claude or ChatGPT connects over OAuth, and you choose the permissions it gets when you approve it.

Where are the docs and the API reference?

On docs.sendly.now, which also publishes llms.txt and llms-full.txt for AI tools and the OpenAPI document the official TypeScript and Python SDKs are generated from.
