# Sendly: Email API Debugger, Delivery Inspector & Domain Health Check

See what your Sendly emails sent, delivered or bounced: delivery timelines, events, domain health and raw API requests.

[Add to Chrome](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/sendly-email-api-debugger/lhfgfaabmngpkogibiofhkdbomjcndbg)[Read the extension privacy policy](https://docs.sendly.now/legal/extension-privacy)

## What it does

See what happened to the emails your Sendly project sent, and what the provider reported when one bounced. Sendly: Email API Debugger, Delivery Inspector & Domain Health Check shows your recent emails with their delivery events, the health of your sending domains, and the raw request and response of every call it makes to the Sendly API, without leaving the tab you are working in.

- See every email's delivery status: the last 20 sends, newest first, each with its timeline of events, payloads and error message.
- Check domain health: verification and MAIL FROM status for every sending domain, including a MAIL FROM that is quietly still pending, and the DKIM records after a re-check.
- Inspect the exact request and response of any of the last 50 calls the extension made, and copy the request as a curl command that uses $SENDLY\_API\_KEY instead of your key.
- Test safely: send a sandbox email in one click. It can only go to your own verified address.

## Availability

Available on the [Chrome Web Store](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/sendly-email-api-debugger/lhfgfaabmngpkogibiofhkdbomjcndbg).

The extension reads your own project through a Sendly API key, so you need a Sendly account to use it. [Get started free](https://app.sendly.now/auth/signup).

## How it works

1. Open the extension and paste a Sendly API key from your project's dashboard (Settings, API keys).
2. Browse the Emails, Events and Domains tabs. Each tab fetches live from the Sendly API when you open or refresh it.
3. Open any email for its delivery timeline, or the Inspector tab for the raw request and response of the last 50 calls.
4. Use Test send to queue a sandbox email, then find it in the Emails tab.

## Privacy

Your API key and the log of your last 50 API calls (which include the recipient addresses and subjects in your own project) are stored in this browser only, in extension local storage. Nothing is synced to your Google account, and the extension has no analytics, telemetry, advertising or crash reporting.

It cannot read the pages you visit: there is no content script and no permission for any site except api.sendly.now. After installation it opens a welcome page on app.sendly.now once, and Chrome opens a goodbye page if you remove it; both are used to count installs. Calls you trigger are handled by the Sendly service under its privacy policy; the message you write for Test send may be checked by an automated content-review classifier (OpenRouter) before it is delivered to you.

## Questions people ask

Where are my API key and request log stored?

The extension keeps two things on your own computer: your Sendly API key and a log of the last 50 API calls it made for you.

Can the extension read the pages I visit?

It does not read the pages you visit or your browsing history, and it requests no tabs, activeTab, scripting or webRequest permission and has no content script.

Which servers does the extension talk to?

It sends your API key to exactly one server, https://api.sendly.now, only when you ask it to fetch or send something. That is the whole data flow.

Can Test send email anyone?

Test safely: send a sandbox email in one click. It can only go to your own verified address.

How do I delete what the extension stores?

Forget key removes the API key. Clear in the Inspector tab removes the request log. Uninstalling the extension removes everything it stored, including the theme preference and the install ID. Chrome then opens the goodbye page once.
